On the 25 April 1894 William Outram Coward (32) Manager of Lloyds Bank, Newport, of Newport, son of William Brocklebank Coward, Gentleman, married Ida Lloyd Jones (27) Spinster, of Bassaleg Vicarage, daughter of John Jones, Clerk in Holy Orders, at the Parish Church of Bassaleg, Monmouthshire.
The Barrow Herald and Furness Advertiser 21 June 1902 had a full account of the wedding, going away outfits and gifts when Emily, third daughter of Councillor J. Thompson, of Monk’s Croft, Barrow, married John Coward, son of William Brocklebank Coward, of Colt Park.
On 14 September 1910 Thomas Coward (50) Bachelor, Farmer, of Jubilee Cottages, son of William Brocklebank Coward (Deceased) Farmer, married Annie Ayland (47) Spinster, of Menai Bank, daughter of Josiah Albert Ayland, (Deceased), Manager of Terracotta Works, at the Chapel of Ease of Christ Church, Llanfairfechan, Carnarvon.
A wedding notice on the Maidstone Telegraph 25 August 1917 said:
BRYANT – COWARD – August 21st, at Pennington, Ulverston, the Rev. Ernest Edward Bryant, of Charterhouse, Godalming, son of Mr. W. J. D. Bryant, of Tonbridge, to Amy Outram Coward, daughter of the late William Brocklebank Coward, of Colt Park, Ulverston.
The Barrow News 16 July 1965 reported:
Mrs. Amy Outram Bryant, who lives at The Yews, Bardsea, the home of Mrs. Mary High. Celebrated her 100th birthday on Wednesday. Mrs. Bryant was born at Colt Park Farm, Aldingham, the daughter of Frances Outram and William Brocklebank Coward. About 1905 she became the matron of a preparatory school near London, and was later at Rossall and Charterhouse, where she married the late Rev. Ernest Bryant, who was for many years a housemaster and chaplain at the college. She has lived in Bardsea for two years.
