Opened 1862, as the parish churchyard became full. The chapel was built by James Garden, who is buried under a restored gravestone at the west end of the North Chapel (Grade II listed). The North Chapel, formerly the Church of England mortuary chapel, is used by the Greek Orthodox Community of St Simon.
