Ashburner is a very common name in the Furness area, and there will be complex blood relationships to be identified and described.
We find on Ancestry that:
Isabel Geldert married George Ashburner at Urswick on 2 June 1759. She had been christened on 4 April 1731 at Aldingham, her father being William Geldert. However, this does not appear on the Lancashire Parish Clerk online.
Anthony Woodward married Elizabeth Ashburner on 18 May 1793. He had been baptised at Urswick on 15 March 1767, his father being William Woodward.
Lancashire Parish Clerk online
From Lancashire Parish Clerk online we can find various baptisms e.g. George Ashburner baptised 4 Jan 1772 at Aldingham, parents George & Isabella; John Ashburner baptised 30 March 1760 at Aldingham, father George. A puzzle is Betty Ashburner, baptised 30 September 1759, father George Ashburner. Either this is not Elizabeth, whose name is not on the list, or the mason has made a mistake and she was 68 years old at the time of her death. The burial record has her age as 58 yrs.
